The Zendaya Barbie doll issue was denied by pop star Demi Lovato.
According to a report from Seventeen , the “Warrior” singer slammed haters for trying to start a feud between her and the “KC Undercover” actress.
Demi Lovato took to Twitter to shut down feud rumors.
“Media and everyone online: Anytime you go to post something negative, or gossipy bullshit, go spend time with someone you love,” she said.
“Life is way too short.”
The 23-year-old’s post came after she was accused of being jealous of Zendaya Coleman, who had a doll made after her by toy maker Mattel.
Released just last month, the Zendaya Barbie doll featured her controversial Oscars 2015 look, down to the off-shoulder Vivienne Westwood white dress and dreadlocked hair.
Demi Lovato chided about how she also wants something similar to the Zendaya Barbie doll. “Hey Barbie, what about a curvy doll or one with true to size measurements? I’ll model!” she tweeted.
Fans were quick to pick up on Demi Lovato’s tweet, which was posted while everyone was still congratulating Zendaya Coleman.
“Right after @Barbie gives Zendaya a doll, Demi Lovato comes in all like: what about me! me! me!” one fan tweeted. “She could at least congratulate her.”
“I respect Demi lovato but her tweet to Barbie was just low,” another follower added.
ABC News reported about the Zendaya Barbie Doll launch at the Barbie Rock ‘N Royals Concert Experience held at the Hollywood Palladium last month.
The singer-actress posted an Instagram photo with the doll and explained why it was an honor to have a toy made to her liking.
“When I was little I couldn’t find a Barbie that looked like me, my…how times have changed,” Zendaya said.
“Thank you Barbie for this honor and for allowing me to be a part of your diversification and expansion of the definition of beauty.”
