After leaving One Direction to pursue on his solo career, Zayn Malik may have hinted that a new album should be expected soon from him.
Right after leaving the group, Malik came up with a new track of his own called “I Don’t Mind.” However, Daily Mail pointed out that the song recorded was an old song and was intended to be a 1D track.
“It’s important fans know this isn’t a solo Zayn song or even representative of material he might record in the future,” an insider told Daily Mail.
“If you listen to the track it is clearly a song written with One Direction in mind for their last album.
It’s not new, nor is it a Zayn Malik solo track.” Meanwhile, Hollywood Life previously reported that the rest of the boy band are now in good terms with Zayn after the group revealed in a James Corden interview how the show must go on even with one man out.
“There’s been a bit of back and forth, but we’re on good terms with him,” Louis Tomlinson said in the show.
“I’ve never been very good at biting my tongue.
Maybe I get it off my mom.
It’s just one of those things – Twitter’s great for connecting with the fans, but also, if you feel like saying something you probably shouldn’t, it’s also good for that, as well.
Or bad in this case!” Liam Payne, meanwhile, revealed how the group was angry at first but further respected his decision.
“At first we were a little bit angry,” Payne said in the show.
“We were surprised, but I think we all knew the general vibe that James was feeling.
There were certain parts of this job that Zayn loved and certain parts that he didn’t.
If you don’t like your job, you’ve got to follow your heart sometimes and go where you need to go.
There’s no argument with that.” With no official words about a new Zayn Malik album, fans have their eyes open for more releases from the former 1D member.
