Yoo Jae Suk finally got his wax figure! Jae Suk is the first Korean TV personality to get a wax figure and it looks EXACTLY like him at the Grevin Museum in Seoul, South Korea. Yoo Jae Suk attended his wax figure’s unveiling in Grevin Museum located at Eulji-ro, Seoul on Feb. 17, reports Koreaboo . Grevin Museum is a wax museum based in Paris, but with branches in Montreal, Praha, and Seoul.
There already are wax figures of famous Korean actors, singers, and many other famous Korean personalities, but Yoo Jae Suk is the first Korean TV personality to have the honor of having his entire image replicated in wax. Grevin Museum also revealed that it took them 6 months to create Yoo Jae Suk’s wax figure. A team of wax sculptors from Paris, France even flew to Seoul just to help in the figure’s construction, reports All Kpop . Yoo Jae Suk even donated the same brand of glasses, the blue suit, and white shoes to make the wax figure look exactly like him. Other well-known Korean personalities like Psy and BIGBANG’s G-Dragon have their wax figures showcased inside the famous Grevin Museum. Yoo Jae Suk expressed his feelings upon seeing his wax twin. “I was so shocked to see my wax figure in the Grevin Museum looked exactly like me. It was interesting to see other celebrity wax figures like G-Dragon and PSY look exactly like them right here in the same museum,” said Yoo Jae Suk. “I hope those who come to see these wax figures have a fun and wonderful time.” Beatrice Cristofari, general manager of the Grevin Museum explained the reason why they added Yoo Jae Suk’s wax figure in their collection: Beatrice said that Yoo Jae Suk is a national entertainer that the country [South Korea] has grown to love, adding that he is this era’s icon of hope because he gives his audience plenty of entertainment and cuteness. Beatrice also hopes that Yoo Jae Suk’s ability to make people laugh and his personality have been integrated in his wax twin. Beatrice looks forward for Jae Suk’s wax figure to give the museum’s visitors happy and warm memories.
