There aren’t a lot of smartphones which continue to rake up the sales in spite of the fact that it is already a year-old this December.
It also helped the manufacturer that Xiaomi Mi3 review articles have been published earlier in the device’s availability, and now more people are becoming interested in trying it out.
Starting in June this year, the former Android flagship made its way to some international markets, including India and the Philippines and the reception has been pretty good. In reports a couple of months ago, the Xiaomi Mi3 smartphone sold out in Indian retailer Flipkart due to the demand it received upon release.
But in spite the impressive sales, the Chinese manufacturer decided to pull out the smartphone indefinitely and place a much cheaper alternative instead, the Redmi 1S. Costing just over a hundred dollars, the Redmi 1S is one of the most affordable midrange devices today, and like its bigger sibling, offers a lot of bang for your buck. Now, after a month of availability, Xiaomi will once again offer the Mi3 in India. According to a report by GSM Arena , the device will once again be sold at local online retailer Flipkart beginning on October 23, and just in time for the Diwali Festival. In case you are wondering how much it would cost, it would still retain its very cheap price tag of only INR 13,999 or about $230.
To give you a short background, the Xiaomi Mi3 packs some serious specs for a midranger, which include a 5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 2GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 800 chip, and 16GB of internal memory. Also on board is a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP front shooter, while the system is powered by Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box.
The only trade-off for the smartphone is the lack of a microSD card slot for storage expansion. Are you now preparing your budget for the Mi3, or are you willing to wait for the Mi4 international release?
