Everyone remembers and still loves what was the original ‘Produce IOI’ debut girl group IOI. Now, rumor has it that the girl group will actually be holding a reunion stage at this years ‘MNet Asian Music Awards’ show. Unfortunately, rumors are just rumors among netizens as CJ E & M made an official statement on the matter during a recent interview. On September 18th, Topstar News reported CJ E & M’s response saying that  “It is not true and has not been confirmed. The fans seem to have written a document that is currently reviewing the performance lineup.”  The company continued, “The lineup is still under review and will be released later.” However, it is still true that this year’s ‘2017 MAMA’ has undergone a rather large upgrade as the program has been extended for 4 days and in three different countries! This year’s award program will be held from November 25th to December 1st and will be held in Vietnam, Japan and Hong Kong, making it one of the longest and widespread award shows! Fans have now deemed it as ‘MAMA Week.’ CJ E & M ended their interview saying,  “We will enhance the participation and exchange of artists in Asia and strengthen the awards ceremony for professionals who have led the Asian music industry. As the artists of each country are going to hold honorary performances in other countries’ venues, it is ideal to increase the status of MAMA by one more level by creating this one-week long celebration.” Are you excited for this year’s MAMA awards and stages? Stay tuned for more updates on the lineup and take a glimpse at the epic stages from last years award ceremony!
