Which Flash Is Ezra Miller Playing In 'The Flash' Movie In 2018? Director Phil Lord Reveals The Answer!

“The LEGO Movie” helmer Phil Lord reveals which Flash Ezra Miller is playing in DC’s “The Flash” in 2018.

The “22 Jump Street” director confirms the news on the Hippojuice podcast:

“We’re tying to break a story,” Lord explained.

“It’s interesting, because there’s a really popular TV show out there, and we’re trying to carve out space for the movie that’s apart from that.

I think we’re doing alright”…

“I believe [our Flash] is going to be Barry Allen,” he went on to explain.

“It’s going to be it’s own [thing, apart from the TV show] – we’re more trying to stick with the cinematic universe.” “It really is its own thing, and kind of a stand-alone movie, Lord added.

“We’re just trying to think of the best story.

I think you guys will like it, it’s kind of a different take on superhero stuff.” Since DC’s TV series and cinematic universe share no connection, many a putting wondering how Lord and co-director Chris Miller would differentiate their movie from the TV franchise.

Stephen Amell, the actor who portrays Arrow in the TV series, thinks that fellow CW star Grant Gustin to play the Flash in the movies.

“I feel like it should be Grant doing the movie,” Amell shared with  The Wall Street Journal .

“But the important thing to remember is just because Grant Gustin plays the part of Barry Allen doesn’t mean Ezra Miller can’t also play Barry Allen.” There can be different interpretations of the character,” Amell shared.

“Anyone who is a fan of the comics knows the Flash character is one of the forces that leads to parallel universes.” Meanwhile, the director-duo also discussed their upcoming animated “Spider-Man” movie, saying that it presents “a lot of different possibilities.” “Chris and I like to carve out spaces where people will let us do what we want,” Lord said.

“So much of our careers are like ‘oh, no one will bother us while we try to make a ’21 Jump Street’ movie, because it’s such a crazy idea, no one’s going to know what to do with it.” “The Flash” hits theaters on Mar.

23, 2018.
