A new free, collaborative music player lets music fans listen together in real-time.
Los Angeles app startup weeSPIN announced its Spring Release for iOS for its redesigned collaborative music player that enables users everywhere to listen together in real-time, straight from their phones.
“Separated across platforms, devices and geographical distance, most people today have a hyper-individualized listening experience,” says Darius Fong, founder of weeSPIN and Grammy winning producer and audio engineer.
“Our new features are designed to make listening a shared experience again.” weeSPIN invites listeners minute-by-minute, beat-by-beat with a reinvented interface and new, seamless tech that live-syncs music across devices.
The device was launched in the fall of 2014.
“weeSPIN bridges the accessibility of digital music with the human emotion that created music in the first place,” adds Fong.
“By enabling people to listen together, we seek to enrich people’s lives online and offline through music.” The part-audiophile, part-technophile team behind weeSPIN quickly recognized that people don’t need “just another music app; they need a way to listen to music together.
In response, weeSPIN’s latest update advances the app’s ongoing mission to connect people through music.
The latest update enables users to Live broadcast their play stream to friends or hop into any friend’s live stream; Invite friends to instantly join their live queue via social media; Collaborate with friends and followers by dropping songs into the queue, like a digital jukebox; Save a song for later listening or suggest songs to friends; Link their Soundcloud accounts.
