Although “Pretty Little Liars” fans still have months to wait before the Season 6B premiere, there is a new opening title sequence for you to fawn over before its return.
On Thursday, E! Online unveiled the new opening sequence featuring all five Liars in their post-flash forward wardrobes. Previously, Alison was not included in the sequence as she was supposed to be embodied by the girl in the coffin.
“Fun new intro when we come back in January. Everyone gets a turn to shhh,” teased executive producer Marlene King back in September.
And while it resembles the status of “Pretty Little Liars” heading into Season 6B, some fans are less than impressed with the changes.
“The girls look wrong somehow,” commented Velvetdewdrop on reddit. “Alison’s look looks staged, Aria looks stoned, Spencer is staring too hard into oblivion, Emily just looks down until the shush and Hanna looks bored.”
According to King, the Liars will return in January five years after the debacle with Cece Drake aka Charles DiLaurentis.
“I don’t want to give you all the answers because that’s part of the fun of the story when we find them,” said King. “They’re still friends, but like what happens after you get out of college, you don’t get to see your friends all the time. So there’s a reason they have to come back to town and they’re bringing some secrets back with them, too.”
While the “Pretty Little Liars” Season 6A finale solved the mystery surrounding Charles DiLaurentis, there is a new Big Bad waiting for the Liars when 6B arrives, and executive producer Marlene King has some interesting things to say about who he may be.
“I can’t confirm or deny if there’s a new ‘A,’ but yes, ‘he’ is prospected to be the show’s new baddie,” said King to TVLine.
