Watch Johnny Depp Transform Into Real Life Gangster In New 'Black Mass' Movie Trailer; Plot Details Revealed!

The second trailer for the new Johnny Depp movie, “Black Mass” has just debuted.

The new trailer features Depp as James Joseph “Whitey” Bulger, sitting down at the dinner table eating with his family.

He is with his girlfriend, Lindsey Cyr (Dakota Johnson) and son Douglas (Luke Ryan), and the gangster is imparting life lessons to his young son.

The scene is similar to what was shown in the first trailer, but this time around, Bulger tells his son, “It’s not what you do.

It’s when and where you do it, and who you do it to, or with.” “If nobody sees it, did it happen?” Depp as Bulger continued.

When his girlfriend Lindsey asks him if this is an appropriate thing to tell to a six year old, Bulger replies, “Yeah.” Directed by Scott Cooper (“Out Of The Furnace”), “Black Mass” tells the story of Bulger, who was the leader of the most violent gang in Boston.

But the gangster as it turned out, also worked as a snitch for the FBI, in order for him to be able to take out rival mobsters.

Bulger worked with a corrupt FBI agent, John Connolly (Joel Edgerton).

But soon the FBI betrayed Bulger and included him in arrest that they made.

The gangster made a run for it in 1994, and went underground to flee his racketeering indictment.

He became on of the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted list, and he eluded a worldwide manhunt for years.

He was finally captured in 2011 in Santa Monica, California, and he was subsequently sentenced to two life sentences plus five years for his criminal activities by a federal judge.

“Black Mass” features a star studded cast which includes Benedict Cumberbatch as Whitey’s brother, Bill Bulger, Juno Temple, Kevin Bacon, Adam Scott, Corey Stoll and Peter Sarsgaard.

The movie will hit theaters on September 18.
