This week’s episode begins with the Kai’s discussing what happened to the first two planets that vanished during the run in with Beerus. Most importantly, the planets seemed to disappear without any trace left, making them wonder if it was indeed Beerus or someone else.
Elsewhere, Goku is visited at work by Krillin. They reminisce over their days in training and then suddenly, Krillin asks Goku to hit him so he can figure out how strong he’s gotten. Goku punches him and he’s launched super far away. He finally lands/face-plants into a wall. As 18 treats Krillin’s wounds, he feels confident that giving up martial arts.
Meanwhile, Vegeta continues to train, still shamelessly hoping he will someday surpass Goku.
Now that Beerus is once again asleep, Whis finds himself enjoying the delicious meals of Japan with Bulma. It appears that Bulma is trying bribe Whis to protect her, Trunks, and Vegeta if Beerus ever comes back. Unfortunately, Whis guarantees nothing.
Vegeta comes home and freaks out that Whis is there. Vegeta demands to be taken to Beerus so that he can try fighting him again. Bulma ignores him and walks off with Whis to get desert. Whis reveals that he’s the one who trained Beerus.
Whis slyly advises Whis that if Vegeta controls his KI he will someday be better than Goku and be able to face Beerus. Vegeta tries to convince Whis to be his trainer by promising him a food that even Bulma can’t go once a week without eating: instant ramen.
Whis is blown away by the instant ramen and agrees to train Vegeta. They head to Beerus’ planet. On the way there, Whis reminds Vegeta that he’s pretty lucky to be married to Bulma.
