As previously reported, the first installation of Watch Dogs ended with the announcement of CtOS 2.0 spreading across the United States, as the fictional operating system that controls the entire city is taking over the nation and could be soon expected all over the world. This end game twist sparked speculations and rumors with its gamers and claimed that the follow-up is surely expected in  a different city and may feature a new character. Some fans say that on the “Watch Dogs 2” release date, we may see a “GTA 5” type of characters, where there will be three main characters running the story. In a ctOS 2.0 thread on a Watch Dogs forum , user AtlasShruggedTwice believed “A sequel is likely. They’ve been describing WD as a new franchise, not just a new game.” “At the end, they also mention something about smart “cities” in that commercial. I can only assume that means the next installment will be in a different major US city. Similar to what GTA has done with its series” Ubisoft claimed that they are working on the follow up of the game but failed to confirm anything yet. CEO Yves Guillemot may have hinted something after an interview asking for a “Watch Dogs 2” release date. “I can’t say because I don’t know actually. We’ll see,” he said. “We are working on that. We want to spend more time on the worlds and characters in our games… you will see more and more of this at Ubisoft. We’ll try to be less like we have been in the past with some characters. We’ll try to extend more diversity.” “Watch Dogs 2” release date is confirmed for Nov. 15, 2016.
