Are you interested in the idea of a living, breathing smartphone? While that technology could still be decades if not centuries away, LG has managed to include a similar look in one of its upcoming LG phones for 2014.
Dubbed as the LG AKA, the device is a midranger that boasts some decent specs which include a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) resolution screen, 1.5GB of RAM, a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, an 8MP primary camera, 16GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot. The phone runs on Android 4.4 Kit Kat, packs a 2,610mAh battery and features LTE connectivity. While those specs and features are decent, the main attraction for this device is its unique ‘eyes’ which ‘peek’ from the phone’s case and looks at you (as creepy as it may sound). According to the report by GSM Arena, the device comes with four different AKAs and is designated by colors, yellow, white, pink and black. Each particular LG AKA handset also has its own traits and characteristics, certainly a new way to personalize a smartphone. However, the AKA’s eyes are not only there for your amusement, they also get ‘dizzy’ when you shake the phone, or whenever it vibrates.
In addition, the eyes tend to ‘peak’ inside the smartphone case whenever you have a notification. Moreover, if you love virtual pets, you will also notice that the LG AKA’s eyes change in color.
In the report, it denotes a change in emotion, which could mean that you need to do something. This is certainly a unique idea, and if you live in Korea, you can get the device for KRW 500,000 or $455.
