UP10TION Supersedes EXO As Top Spot on Tower Records and Billboard Japan With 'ID' Album

UP10TION   is reportedly starting off with a great start in Japan. The group debuted in Japan with “ID.” Accordingly, in Mar. 8, and it became the most-sold debut album by a K-Pop artist of all time. The boys’ ‘ID’ album is also currently ranked number one on Tower Records and Billboard Japan. The record for the most-sold debut album by a K-Pop artist, according to Allkpop , was previously held by EXO with “Love Me Right.” The album was released allegedly way back in Nov. 2015 that sold 147,000 copies. Accordingly, UP10TION’s debut single album “ID” purportedly sold over 167,000 copies.
The album landed at number three on the daily Oricon album chart in Mar. 8, following Japanese artists Sandaime J Soul Brothers at number one and Morning   Musume ’17 at number two. Nonetheless, UP10TION’s ‘ID’ album placed number one on the daily Tower Records album chart. Apparently, the group successfully aired their debut showcase live in Tokyo. They have also visited Osaka for another showcase in Mar. 10. UP10TION is a South Korean boy group organized by TOP Media in 2015. The group consists of ten members: Jinhoo, Kuhn, Kogyeol, Wei, Bitto, Wooshin, Sunyoul, Gyujin, Hwanhee, and Xiao. The group, according to Wikipedia , debuted with a mini album, Top Secret, and HONEY10 is their official fan club name. After a three-month break, UP10TION released their third mini album Spotlight  with the title track “Attention.” In May 2016, TOP Media confirmed that UP10TION will hold their Japanese debut showcase in Tokyo in June. This was accordingly followed by a showcase at the Osaka River Forum also of the same month. In August 2016, UP10TION returned with a fourth mini album to highlight the Summer, entitled “Summer Go.”    The official music video for the title track “Tonight” was released on the same day, expressing a party like atmosphere. Later in 2016, UP10TION released their fifth mini album “BURST” with the title track “White Night.”
