“Cory Goodman (Priest, The Last Witch Hunter) will be penning the script for Lakeshore Entertainment,” it said . “No additional details on what the fifth film will be about, but we’ll probably learn more when the two new female roles, casting for which is currently underway, are filled.”
The Hollywood Reporter said that Theo James had to return as cast in “Underworld 5.”
“Sources say there was an option on James because of his work on the previous film, and he’ll star opposite two new female characters. Casting is underway for those roles, with plans to start shooting in the spring,” it added.
The film will clearly benefit from Theo James skyrocketing fame after playing Four in the “Divergent” series. It’s yet to be seen if that fame will translate to box-office records for the fifth installment in the vampire franchise.
