Tracy Morgan Condition Update: ’30 Rock’ Actor’s ‘Very Severe’ Brain Injury Means No Guarantee For Comedian’s Full Recovery?

Updates about Tracy Morgan’s condition have been scarce but his attorney revealed that the prognosis doesn’t really leave much room for optimism because of his very severe brain injury.

Lawyer Benedict Morelli gave an update on Tracy Morgan’s condition to the  Associated Press on Tuesday as he said that the comedian has been going through “cognitive rehabilitation, speech rehabilitation, and physical rehabilitation” after leaving the hospital.

Although he said that “30 Rock” actor Tracy Morgan has been making progress, the prognosis remains vague, said   Yahoo .

“He’s still fighting to get better and he’s making incremental progress,” he said, but it doesn’t mean the comedian will make a full recovery or become the “Tracy Morgan he once was.” Even if he said that Tracy Morgan is a warrior, he can only do so much.

“I mean he had massive fractures in various parts of his body including his face and he had a traumatic brain injury, a very severe one,” he added about Tracy Morgan’s condition update.

“I’m not saying he’ll never recover.

I’m saying we don’t know,” Morelli explained.

Tracy Morgan, with the aid of his lawyer, has filed a civil suit against Wal-Mart and its driver who caused the incident.

The retail giant, however, filed a countersuit essentially blaming the comedian and his entourage for not wearing any seatbelt.

Sec.

768.81 of the 2014 Florida Statutes, states that, “in a negligence action, the court shall enter judgment against each party liable on the basis of such party’s percentage of fault.” This means the court will always weigh the extent of damages to be awarded according to mistakes committed prior to the incident.

Chris Rock, who tapped the comedian to play a part in “Top Five” before the tragic incident, said that he has always been communicating with the stand-up while he’s undergoing rehabilitation, and earlier offered an update on Tracy Morgan’s condition.

“You know, it’s day to day,” he told Entertainment Tonight .
