After battling a decade-long court trial and being able win a case, Tool is back in the scene and is expected to release a new album soon.
As previously reported by Rolling Stone, band guitarist Adam Jones revealed that the creation of the new album is on its way and that they are excited to have a much heavier sound that should get fans excited as well.
“Our greatest strength is jamming and coming up with stuff,” Jones said.
“We’re doing that really well now and I’m excited about everything we’re working on.
Some of it’s really heavy, some of it’s really complex and some is more atmospheric, but it’s definitely Tool.” Meanwhile, in a Loud Wire report , front man Maynard James Keenan revealed that he has already been working on the writing process and is “progressing nicely” and fans should expect really a heavy sound from their upcoming release.
“I’ve been making regular trips to LA to check on the writing progress of my Tool brethren,” the singer said.
“Things are progressing nicely.
Slowly, but definitely progressing.
Nothing is recorded yet, but the guys are confident that the pieces are coming together swimmingly and will be ready for me to begin writing melodies and content ‘soon’.” “I’m as anxious to get this album completed as everyone else.
But as history will show, you can’t rush these gents.
Patience is Gold in this Sound Mine.
In the meantime, as always, other things are simultaneously occurring.
Life is too short not to create something with every breath we draw.”
