According to Ecumenical News , the highly-anticipated “Tokyo Ghoul” season 3 release date will be delayed. Despite most of the fans’ belief that it will be broadcasted later this year, speculations claim that fans need to wait until next year.
Funimation president and CEO Gen Fukunaga and other people behind “Tokyo Ghoul” didn’t clearly explain the reason behind season 3′ release date delay. There are rumors that it was most probably caused by the lack of available material because the manga is not enough to provide a whole season due to the lack of manga chapters .
Fans are now starting to get more frustrated with the news. In season 2, it is believed that there have been too many unnecessary fillers that deviated from the original material.
Based on the fans’ reactions, it would be best if the creators behind “Tokyo Ghoul” will remain in line with the original course outline for this coming third season. However, there may be also a chance that they won’t continue to make this upcoming season.
Because of how the fans were displeased with “Tokyo Ghoul” season 2, it was revealed that the fans would rather have a whole reboot than a continuation. They even signed a petition for it.
According to IPetitions , it was heartbreaking on how Studio Pierrot made the adaptation. Luckily, Madhouse production is known for their great works such as “Claymore,” “Death Note” and “Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu,” among others. Plus, they are also praised for staying true to the manga and will replace Studio Pierrot for “Tokyo Ghoul” season 3.
In other news , it was noted that this upcoming season will focus more on Touka Kirishima, an ex-waitress ghoul at the Anteiku, notorious for wearing a rabbit mask when fighting. It will be a story on how her life would be after all that Anteiku has all gone through as well as her college life.
