Even though The Rolling Stones still has a few shows on their tour list, talks about a new album release from the group started to come out, claiming that the band may release one soon.
In a report by Ultimate Classic Rock , both guitarist and frontman Keith Richards and Mick Jagger revealed that new materials from the group is expected to roll out but would not happen anytime soon.
According to an interview with the singer, new and unreleased songs were already written by him, wherein he would love to record them soon.
“I’ve got a lot of new songs, and songs I’ve written over the last couple of years,” Jagger said, describing the new Rolling Stones album. “I’ve done really good demos for all of them, which I would love to record. I’d love to record a Stones album.”
However, while the band is still on tour, Keith Richards told NME recently that progress for the new record could start after the series of shows, which would definitely happen in 2016.
“I’m trying to get the Stones into the studio,” he said about the new album from The Rolling Stones in an interview with E ntertainment Weekly . “But I don’t quite honestly see it happening this year.”
He also added how he knows his bandmates well and revealed that the rest of the group might take a breather after the tour and that they could possibly not go in the studio after.
“After we do South America in February and March , I’d love to get in the studio in April,” Richards explained. “But I know what those guys are like. When they finish a tour, they don’t want to do nothing!”
Although there are no official words regarding their release so far, the new record is expected to hit shelves either in late 2016 or anytime in 2017.
