The cast for the upcoming “The Raid” remake has been rumored to have been announced internally.
This is after speculations surfaced that Taylor Kitsch is set to join the cast and has been in talks with the upcoming film’s producers.
While the authenticity of the rumor is yet to be proven, fans are hopeful that Kitsch will indeed star in the reboot following the recent hype involved with his name.
As known to the public, Taylor has been making headline recently after the official trailer for the hit HBO TV series, “True Detective” aired.
Kitsch will be playing the role of a cop, along with Colin Farrell and Rachel McAdams.
Vince Vaughn will be playing the series’ villain.
In other “The Raid” remake news, Patrick Hughes has gone on an interview to talk about the upcoming movie adaptation. Screenrant reports that the director was nothing of shy to express his admiration for the original film, and how he plans to do justice to it with a hollywood remake.
“We have a really, really interesting take on that film,” Hughes said.
“One thing, obviously the original just blew my mind…
The thing that blew my mind with that film was the aesthetics and the fight sequences but also the simplicity of the premise, and there’s so much you can do with that.” “So our take on it is really interesting and I feel like if anything what I want to do is elevate the emotional aspect of it, and I think those are my favorite action films of all time when you can balance the action and the emotion.”
