“The Mindy Project” season 4 cancelled or renewed? Ratings for ‘The Mindy Project’ season 3 finale were low, making fans wonder if it’s facing cancellation.

Fox announced that “New Girl” was renewed for a new next season, but hasn’t said anything about “The Mindy Project” season 4.

The “The Mindy Project” season 3 finale, “Best Man” pulled in only 2.1 million viewers and a 0.8 rating.

Will there be a “The Mindy Project” season 4? Even Mindy Kaling’s onscreen love interest Chris Messina isn’t quite sure about the outcome of the show.

“I feel confident that whatever is meant to be will be.

And I feel that Mindy and the writers have, I’m sure, tons of things they want to say about all these characters,” Chris Messina told ABC Radio.

“Fox has to just kind of see what they have and what’s there.

But they’ve been great to us.” “I think Fox is a really pretty cool network,” Messina added.

“I mean they really push the boundaries and I like what they do.

And I’m proud they let Mindy and her team push the boundaries and I’m proud to be on a show that does that.” “The Mindy Project” creator Mindy Kaling, who first came to prominence on “The Office,” still believes the show will be renewed.

“I’m so proud of the show,” Mindy told Bustle magazine.

“There’s nothing really that I would do differently in the way that we’ve built the those in the last couple of years, and I love our relationship with Fox and I would love for it to just continue.” The Mindy Project may still get a streaming deal.

“I just don’t think this is the end for the cast.

I feel me and the writers have so many stories to tell, and I just have a good feeling that it’s going to come back,” Kaling told EW’s Jessica Shaw and Melissa Maerz on SiriusXM Radio.

“The show’s so much about the romantic sensibility and reality versus fantasy, and I feel the show is at its very best is when [Mindy’s] being tested but still manages to keep her funny disposition and romantic sensibility,” Kaling recently told The Hollywood Reporter.

E! News reported that “The Mindy Project” has a 50/50 chance for a season 4.
