An arrest warrant has been issued for rapper Young Thug’s road manager Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, TMZ reports.
He’s being charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of a firearm by a felon, and criminal gang activity in connection with the Lil Wayne tour bus shooting.
New reports are also suggesting that Winfrey’s motive was “to gain status in his criminal organization by committing a high profile shooting of a rival rap artist” and that he has “associated himself with known blood gang members in the Atlanta area.” The incident began inside of a nightclub in Atlanta and later onto one of the city’s streets.
It was allegedly a dispute between Young Thug and Lil Wayne’s respective entourages.
Neither Lil Wayne nor Young Thug’s representatives have commented on the matter.
Lil Wayne has not been reported to be injured.
