With “The Last Of Us” movie announced to happen in the future, fans were quick to speculate what to expect from the film, after Naughty Dog announced that the feature film is expected to happen after “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.”
In a report by Slash Film , game creator Neil Druckmann revealed that the fans should expect to see in the big screen what they saw while they were playing after he revealed that they would be “faithful” to “The Last Of Us” story as it would appear in the big screen.
He further revealed that even though the studio has their eyes on “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” game release date for now, he admitted that he usually thinks about the movie at the same time.
“When I’m in the office it’s all Uncharted 4 all the time,” he said.
“When I should be sleeping, it’s the [Last of Us] movie.” In the same report, Druckmann was once again excited to announce that they have already talked to some of the actors, who are still unnamed, while he finishes the second draft of the movie.
“I just finished the second draft and we did a table read with a bunch of actors and that’s where we’re at.” After a series of reports, Digital Spy pointed out that “Game Of Thrones” star Maisie Williams has hinted that she might take on the role of Ellie, while the role of Joel is still questionable until now.
“It was announced sort of prematurely almost in that I would love to play Ellie, they would love me to play Ellie,” she said.
“There’s no film happening at this very second, so I cannot play Ellie right at this very minute.
But when that comes around – if and when that comes around – I’ll be here.”
