With the ongoing success of “The Last Of Us” after it was remastered to the PS4, a sequel of the game is in talks and a possibility for it to happen is rumored to happen in the near future.
With Naughty Dog still busy creating “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” and with all the release date delay it has been facing, Game Spot confirmed that Neil Druckmann and game director Bruce Straley revealed that the game sequel has been put “in ice” for now as they put their 100% efforts in Nathan Drake for now.
“We’re 110 percent in Uncharted 4 territory now,” Straley said.
“Blinders on, make this awesome.” “We totally get it, because we have those same feelings as well.
We have brainstormed sequel ideas for The Last of Us, and we’ve brainstormed ideas for new games, but all of that is put on ice right now while we work on Uncharted 4.” Creating a part two for the game, however, is a big possibility for them.
However, the appearance of main characters Joel and Ellie is still questionable as Neil Druckmann is thinking about introducing a new character that might focus on a different setting in the post-apocalyptic world see in “The Last Of Us.” “I’d probably reconsider the story at that point.
They are Joel and Ellie to me,” Druckmann said.
“No one should be that smart, talented, and attractive.
It’s sick really.” However, it is all plans for the studio for now as they wait and see how fans would react with the “Uncharted 4” game.
“We have such limited resources, and it’s a question of where you put the resources,” the director said.
“It’s something where we can have a feel of where the demand is, and where our time is best spent.
It’s something that we’ll figure out as we move forward.”
