“The Blacklist” is fast becoming one of the biggest shows on teleivison, and is heading into its fall finale before a hiatus.
In season 2 episode 7 it was revealed that Red, had found Berlin’s daughter.
According to the cast, season 2 episode 8 , and the Super Bowl episode episode 9 are going to be big ones.
The official synopsis for season 2 episode 8 reads , “Red’s (James Spader) motives for Berlin (guest star Peter Stormare) take a sudden turn when he learns Berlin was manipulated by the latest Blacklister to avenge Red.
Red and Berlin travel to Moscow to track down a high ranking Russian official who they believe is responsible.
Meanwhile, Liz (Megan Boone) struggles to keep her secret from unraveling.” NBC has also released a series of cast interviews previewing the next two episodes.
After the Feb.
1 Super Bowl return, “The Blacklist” will move from Monday to Thursdays at 9 p.m.
All we know about episode 9 currently is that TVLine reports the series is in the process of casing a character of Jasper.
He is in his fifties, and described as the Director of the National Clandestine Services.
NBC has released a promo for the episode which you can watch below. “It actually looks like Red does not have the Fulcrum, but he will set his sights on getting it.
Unfortunately, so will another Blacklister.
But in the process, Red will be forced to risk his life to protect Liz, who you may be surprised to hear might have a connection to the Fulcrum,” the Entertainment Weekly’s Natalie Abrams wrote in her Spoiler Room post .
“A lot goes down in [episodes 8 and 9]…there will be some huge, huge events that will change the direction of the show,” Amir Arison, who plays C.I.A.
analyst Amar Mojtabai, explained.
Arison added that the crux of the surprises coming might hinge on the relationship between Red and Liz (Megan Boone) saying, “It’s exciting to watch Red and Liz (Megan Boone) with their own agendas that intersect and may support or not support each other.
” James Spader, who plays Red, echoed Arison’s intrigue about his character’s relationship with Liz.
“People have moved off [wanting to know the true relationship between Red and Liz], but the thing that I like is that the nature of their relationship right now despite whatever happened in the past is as compelling,” Spader went on to promise the fall finale will have a resolution, albeit a “bittersweet” one that “opens another door.” The fall finale of season 2 “The Blacklist” airs Monday, Nov.
10, at 10 p.m.
