In “Terminator Genisys,” Schwarzenegger plays an aged Terminator known as “The Guardian.” In this fifth instalment of the franchise, Kyle Reese, played by Jai Courtney is sent back in time to 1984 to save Sarah Connor, played by Emilia Clarke, from a young evil Schwarzenegger Terminator.

This young bad T-800 is the same evil terminator from the original “Terminator” film from 1984. In fact, the scene in which the evil Terminator lands naked on earth and asks a bunch of hoodlums to give them their clothes is going to be recreated in “Terminator Genisys.”

The difference is that this time, the young Schwarzenegger Terminator will be met by the much older “Guardian.” In the clip from the first trailer, the aged T-800 tells his malevolent younger version, “I’ve been waiting for you,” as he fires a shotgun round at him.

The Terminator Fans, who have a source close to production at Skydance revealed that the younger Terminator will be mainly constructed through CGI and casts of the 1984 Schwarzenegger from the original movie. The past that Kyle Reese was sent to was very different than originally thought. The evil Terminator had already been killed and “The Guardian” and Connor were both planning for years for Reese’s arrival. In this new clip, fans see young and old Arnie in a physical brawl. It then cuts to a scene at a police station, where a detective is interrogating “The Guardian” and asking what he was doing fighting with a man on a bridge.

The clip also gives away some more details about the liquid T-1000 played by Lee Byung-hun.

Check out the clip below!

“Terminator Genisys” will be in theaters July 1.
