In one of the recently held interviews with GFRIEND for their new album, “The Awakening”, the group mentioned that they are in a friendly rivalry against TWICE. Sowon, a member of GFRIEND, says that they are good friend with the TWICE members. She then goes on explaining that she really doesn’t want to call them rivals, however, using the term rival is healthy for them because it would surely be boring to have no rival in the industry. Sowon then adds that they had also texted each other, exchanging compliments every now and then regarding their respective music videos. One can see here that the two groups are helping each other out, as GFRIEND admits that TWICE, as well as them, are motivating each other to work harder. TWICE reportedly may have carried out all their promotions, but it looks like they are not done yet with the sweeping music show charts. In Mar, 21, SBS’s “Inkigayo” allegedly announced the winner for the third week of March through their official homepage. The winner was none other than TWICE who garnered a total of 9421 points, exceeding their score during the previous week.   The win not only marked TWICE’s ninth win with “Knock Knock,” but according to Soompi , was also their third consecutive week leading the “Inkigayo” charts. The triumph gave the group the highly coveted triple crown. TWICE has reportedly plucked another trophy for “Knock Knock.” Accordingly, it was a girl group match-up in the Mar. 7 episode of SBS MTV’s “The Show.” It is apparently the girls’ fourth win with the song. According to Soompi, TWICE was up against Melody Day and gugudan for the win. TWICE took first place with a total score of 8,445. gugudan reportedly came in second with a score of 7,930, while Melody Day came in third scoring 6,015. It was, however, unfortunate that TWICE was unable to stay until the end of the episode.
