BIGBANG Seungri To Compete In Jiu Jitsu Tournament in New York

While his fellow BIGBANG members are busy with their individual comebacks, BIGBANG maknae  Seungri is busy with something else. The YG artist is currently preparing to compete in a professional jiu   jitsu  match. According to Koreaboo , Seungri is preparing to join a jiu jitsu competition this summer. The report said that he will be attending he the New York Summer International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship this July to earn a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Seungri, who has already earned his blackbelt in taekwondo has even impressed mixed martial artist and Ip Man star Donnie Yen who was surprised at the BIGBANG member’s fluency in speaking Mandarin as well as his skills as a fighter. Most recently, Seungri was in Osaka to train in jiu jitsu and his dedication to the sport has earned the approval of jiu jitsu black belter Matthew Diniz. As a result, Seungri, who has always been the most outgoing and extroverted member of the K-pop idol group has even recruited the members of his training camp to become supporters of BIGBANG. BIGBANG’s T.O.P. has been expelled from military service and will have to re-enlist again after he was found positive for marijuana in a recent drug test conducted by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. The BIGBANG rapper will have to re-enlist again according to South Korean law. According to a report by All Kpop , T.O.P, whose real name is Choi Seung Hyun was dismissed from service as an army policeman for his involvement in the drug charges. It can be recalled that last week, T.O.P. was the subject of controversy after the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency released the results of a hair follicle test conducted on the YG artist which found him positive for marijuana. A female trainee who was earlier picked up by police for marijuana raised the BIG BANG member’s name during police interrogation leading them to perform the test on T.O.P. At the time, T.O.P was enlisted as a conscripted police officer of the Seoul Police’s Band Unit. The YG artist shared a handwritten apology which states his feelings of remorse and embarrassment over the issue. YG Entertainment has confirmed that BIG BANG’s Taeyang will be releasing his solo album after G-Dragon released his “Act III: MOTTE” this month. After BIG BANG’s Daesung successfully concluded his D-LITE Japan Dome Tour this month and ruled the Japanese charts with his solo mini album “D-Day”, its Taeyang’s turn to take the Japanese stage this July. The BIG BANG member recently confirmed the schedule of “SOL Japan Stadium Tour 2017.” According to his Instagram post , Taeyang will be holding a series of solo concerts on July 8 and 9, and again on August 5 and 6. Taeyang did not announce whether his solo album will be a Japanese album like Daesung’s solo album. Based on his announcement , Taeyang’s “SOL Japan Stadium Tour” will happen in two venues. The first two nights will be held at the ZOZO Marine Stadium while the August 5 and 6 dates will be at the Hotto More Field in Kobe.
