BLACKPINK is ready to drop its new album this month. The girl group debuted in 2016 reportedly will make a comeback following G-Dragon. YG Entertainment confirms the new via Korea Herald on June 5. The representative stated that YG hasn’t confirmed the exact date of the release yet, but the group is expected to launch its new album sometime in mid-June. Since YG Entertainment has confirmed the news, BLACKPINK is the next YG artist to make a comeback, following BIGBANG leader, G-Dragon who is releasing his next solo album on June 8. BLACKPINK’s comeback this month will mark the group’s return after the release of “Square Two” seven months ago. Meanwhile, according to Allkpop , BLACKPINK is reportedly planning to film its MV this week. However, it’s still unclear where the filming location will be. BLACKPINK’s debut in Japan has just been confirmed by their partner agency, YGEX. Rose, Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa will be in Japan for their debut showcase in July. As reported by All Kpop , BLACKPINK’s Japanese debut was confirmed by YG Entertainment’s partner agency in Japan, AVEX. The girl group will be in Japan on Thursday, July 20 in Nippon Budokan, Tokyo. BLACKPINK is expected to perform their greatest hits “BOOMBAYAH”, “Playing with Fire”, “Stay”, and “Whistle”. As the girl group is expected to make a comeback this June, it is also expected that BLACKPINK will be performing more songs for their Japanese fans. Rose did an acoustic cover of WINNER’s “Really Really”. The video was uploaded on Sunday, May 14 which featured the beautiful BLACKPINK member. In addition, YG Entertainment signed Park Hong Gyun PD who just recently resigned from MBC Entertainment. Park Hong Gyun’s most notable works include “Queen Seon Deok” (2009), “The Greatest Love” (2011), and “Warm and Cozy” (2015).
