BIGBANG Seungri To Compete In Jiu Jitsu Tournament in New York

While his fellow BIGBANG members are busy with their individual comebacks, BIGBANG maknae  Seungri is busy with something else. The YG artist is currently preparing to compete in a professional jiu   jitsu  match. According to Koreaboo , Seungri is preparing to join a jiu jitsu competition this summer. The report said that he will be attending he the New York Summer International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship this July to earn a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Seungri, who has already earned his blackbelt in taekwondo has even impressed mixed martial artist and Ip Man star Donnie Yen who was surprised at the BIGBANG member’s fluency in speaking Mandarin as well as his skills as a fighter. Most recently, Seungri was in Osaka to train in jiu jitsu and his dedication to the sport has earned the approval of jiu jitsu black belter Matthew Diniz. As a result, Seungri, who has always been the most outgoing and extroverted member of the K-pop idol group has even recruited the members of his training camp to become supporters of BIGBANG. He charted wins in Inkigayo and Music Core despite not being able to perform live in the shows. The female trainee involved in BIGBANG T.O.P’s drug case has just received her sentence and it is being met by mixed reactions from netizens. Some social media users feel like the sentence is too light while some of the rest are thinking that this will have an impact on T.O.P’s case as well. According to Soompi , the first trial for Han Seo Hee, the female trainee that was reportedly with T.O.P. when he smoked marijuana last year, was given a sentence of four years of probation. However, if she commits a repeat offense during the probation period, she will have to face a three-year prison sentence. The trainee in T.O.P’s drug charge was also ordered to attend 120 hours of drug rehabilitation and was fined a fee of 870,000 won. The Seoul Central District Court took into account the fact that Han Seo Hee purchased psychotropic drugs LSD and marijuana multiple times and used them. The trainee was also found to have purchased marijuana while she was being investigated by authorities. YG Entertainment has announced the addition of five more cities to G-Dragon’s “ACT III: MOTTE” World Tour. Due to insistent public demand, the show will now have additional stops in Manila, HongKong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Taiwan. According to Soompi , the addition of the five cities to the world tour will bring the total to 24 cities where the BIGBANG leader will be performing. Amid the debate on whether G-Dragon’s massively successful “Kwon Ji Yong” should be counted an an album even though it was released in USB form, the BIGBANG leader used his Instagram to speak up about the issue in a very personal message. He also took a dig at Gaon Chart for refusing to accept his album as a legitimate release and questioned the basis on which the company made its judgement. In his post , G-Dragon questioned how people whom he doesn’t even know were able to easily judge what counts as an album. While he did not directly name Gaon Chart on his post, he said that the company was missing the essence of creating and releasing music.
