Taeyeon's 'I' Album Debuts At #1 On Billboard World Albums Chart

The week’s statistics for Billboard charts have been calculated and updated with Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon taking the #1 spot on the Billboard World Album chart with her solo album “I!”
On the 7th of October, Taeyeon’s album went on sale in the U.S. through iTunes and shot up to the top spot on the charts. As soon as the album was released in Korea, it also quickly took the #1 spot on every music platform nationwide. It even reached #1 on music charts in Taiwan and was ranked #1 in 13 countries on iTunes.

In addition, Taeyeon is the 6th SM artist to reach #1 on the Billboard charts this year. Jonghyun’s “Base,” EXO’s ‘EXODUS,” SHINee’s “Odd,” Girls’ Generation’s “Lion Heart,” and Red Velvet’s “The Red.” Other K-pop groups who currently hold a position on the chart include GOT7, iKON, Ailee, and Seventeen.
Meanwhile, Taeyeon is preparing to hold her first concert series in Seoul from October 23-25. Fans can also look forward to Tiffany’s solo debut next month as well.
