Super Smash Bros 4 video game director Masahiro Sakurai revealed in a recently-written column that creating fighter characters for the game’s Wii U and 3DS DLC is a “huge undertaking.”
“It’s a huge undertaking to create a fighter, so I think we can’t make them in large quantities,” she wrote in Famitsu . “I’d also like to feel refreshed when the project is over.
However, since we have decided to tackle [DLC] once, I’d like to offer as much fun [content] as possible.
It will take a while from now, but please look forward to it.” Super Smash Bros 4 characters for the Wii U and the 3DS include Nerf Diddy Kong, according to a patch notes posted by fans on Reddit. Super Smash Bros 4 DLC for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS is rumored to include Banjo-Kazooie in its characters list. “Nintendo is holding a poll for the next Smash Bros DLC, and Banjo is a popular choice! It would mean so much if you could get him in,” Twitter user PedroDarkinson asked Microsoft’s Phil Spencer via the social media network.
“I think it would be cool if Banjo was in the next SSB DLC. We’ve worked with Nintendo on Rare IP before, no issues,” Phil Spencer responded. Nintendo has released instructions for downloading the upcoming Mewtwo DLC for Super Smash Bros 4, bringing one of the Pokémon franchise’s most notable characters to the game. Gamers downloading the DLC will be prompted with two separate codes for the home console and portable version of the game.
