Super Junior’s Shindong has ended his military duty, will resume his career in entertainment

Shindong has finalized his military conscription, and he will immediately resume his career in entertainment industry. Fans are delighted to have him back as he will soon resume his entertainment career. His agency SM Entertainment stated on Friday, Dec. 23 that Shindong has finalized his military duty, as reported by Yonhap News Agency , then he will soon resume his entertainment career. Prior to his enlistment Shindong was a cast member of KBS reality show “Battle Trip” with his bandmate Leeteuk, and he has already scheduled to rejoin the program. Leeteuk has already served his military conscription term in 2014.
Initially, Shindong was scheduled to enlist in November 2014. But his lower back problem hindered his enlistment, so it was delayed. He officially enisted on March. 24, 2015 and starting his basic military training. Afterward, He served his 21 months mandatory active duty conscription at the 55th army division‘s military band. On the day of his discharged, fans and reporters have gathered outside his military base in Yonggin, Gyonggi Province, as reported by Korea Daily . They welcomed him as he appeared outside the base at 9:30 a.m. Along with the swarm of fans and reporter, his band mate Leeteuk also welcomed him. Currently, there are two other members of Super Junior are still in the military service, Lee Dong-Hae and Choi Si-Won. They both served as police officer and will soon be discharged this year. Lee is scheduled to end his term on July 14, while Choi will be discharged on Aug. 18. Super Junior is a long reigning boy group from SM Entertainment. Formed in 2005, Super Junior is the second generation of boy group from SM Entertainment after H.O.T. and Shinhwa in the 1990’s. Originally, they were established as the 12-member boy group, until one of the member Han-Kyung left the group in 2009. Although three of their members are on the military service, Super Junior continue to release their album in 2015 with the remaining members. Now, Shindong has rejoined the formation, and next July and August two other members will also finalize their military service.
