“Arrow” star Stephen Amell reveals details about the CW’s series’ fourth season.
In an interview with TV Line , the actor addressed the previous season’s finale and briefly hinted at a few things happening next season.
Amell was asked if he knew about his character eventually hanging up the hood, to which he replied: “I knew that was how it was going to end last year at this time,” he said.
“They had a real plan this year.
I didn’t know I was going to die in the middle of the season, but I knew that [Oliver and Felicity] was the plan.
I think it’s a real cool opportunity for our show to transition toward something else.
No pun intended.” On what’s gonna happen in Season 4: “I don’t know, I have no sense,” he explained.
“I know a little bit about the flashbacks; actually, I know the whole flashback story.
But in terms of present day, I don’t know.
Roy sacrificed himself (he outed himself as the Arrow), so if I were to recreate the suit and go out, it would undo all of the sacrifice that he made.
So the Arrow persona – for better or for worse – it can’t exist anymore.” In a separate interview with E! online , Amell shocked audiences with one thing he knows for certain in Season 4.
“Arrow is done,” the actor said.
“No more Arrow suit.
I’ve worn it for the last time.” As many already know, the Green Arrow from the comic books is an entirely different character from the man Amell has been portraying for the past three seasons.
Many are speculating that season 4 might show how Oliver Queen truly turns into the Green Arrow.
“Arrow” season 4 will drop this fall with fellow CW series “The Flash” season 2.
The Flash/Arrow spinoff “Legends of Tomorrow” is set to release sometime next year.
