Grammy award winning guitarist Slash, from Guns N Roses, signed a Gibson Les Paul ’58 Reissue guitar on display at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City on May 19th, 2015.
The influential guitarist, who also brings toys for kids in Christmas according to “South Park” created a piece of music history by autographing the Gibson Les Paul ’58 Reissue guitar.
“Our eclectic rock n’ roll memorabilia is a huge part of the Hard Rock experience, and what sets us apart,” said Todd Moyer, General Manager of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City.
“Guests love the pieces of music history we have on display, and we’re honored to add SLASH’s signed Gibson Les Paul ’58 Reissue guitar to our collection.” Slash presented the instrument to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas in 2007 to go with the Robert Knight photo exhibit.
After he signed his name on the guitar, the guitarist rocked fans in Anthem with his official band, Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators.
The iconic American rock guitarist, songwriter and film producer has amassed album sales of over 100 million copies, garnered a Grammy Award and seven Grammy nominations.
Slash was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
He created signature sounds like the guitar riff on #1 hits for Guns N’ Roses “Sweet Child o’ Mine” and “Welcome To The Jungle.” After leaving Guns N Roses, Slash went on to critical acclaim with SLASH’s Snakepit and global success with the supergroup Velvet Revolver before embarking on his own solo career.
