K-Pop boy band SHINee ’s new album, “Odd,” has gained a lot of attention, not only in Korea, but also overseas.
On Tuesday, iTunes revealed that their album had topped the comprehensive album chart in eight countries.
Fans showed excitement that SHINee had topped the iTunes chart in India as well.
“So happy that India recognized their music,” wrote Kannyksb on Tuesday in a comment posted to the Korean entertainment website Allkpop .
Kannyksb wasn’t the only one that was happy about this news.
“Did I see ‘India’ there? Im a proud Indian shawl,” added yash_shawol678 in a comment also posted on Tuesday.
They also topped the pop album chart in eight countries as well as the K-pop album chart in nine countries.
The album also ranked first for pre-sale charts on Hanteo, Yes24 Aladdin and other music sale sites.
SHINee will release their title song, “View” music video on the SMTown official YouTube channel on Friday.
