Sherlock Season 4 Release Date Delays Blamed on Benedict Cumberbatch Schedule, But Sherlock Always Runs on Two Year Gaps

Sherlock Season 4 release date is on January 2016, but rumors say Sherlock” Season 4 is likely to premiere in 2017.

Sherlock routinely runs new seasons every two years.

Season 1 premiered in July 2010 while seasons 2 and 3 premiered on January 1 2012 and 2014.  Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Sherlock Holmes, will be playing in Marvel’s “Doctor Strange.” Fans who have been patiently awaiting the Sherlock season 4 release date want new episodes to air during early 2015.

Sherlock co-creator Mark Gratis updated fans on the Sherlock season 4 release date by saying “Series Four! The actor is actually younger than Benedict Cumberbatch.

The older brother did not feature in the sleuthing stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but fans are sure that he will appear in the series.
