SBS Entertainment Awards 2016: Shin Dong Yup Wins Daesang, Plus ‘Running Man’ Lee Kwang Soo Wins Top Excellence Award

The yearly Entertainment award by the one of the main channels in Korea was held yesterday night. SBS has held the awards night successfully giving awards to artists that deserve it SBS Entertainment Awards has hailed Shin Dong Yup as the best entertainer this year. Shin Dong Yup has won the daesang. He thanked everybody in his speech. SBS has also awarded Lee Kwang Soo the ‘Top Excellence’ award for his variety skills on “Running Man”. Lee Kwang Soo thanked every “Running Man” member in his speech. He also said that they will have a beautiful ending to the “Running Man” show.

In a Netizen Buzz  article, people were congratulating Shin Dong Yup. Many Korean netizens were saying that Shin Dong Yup totally deserved it. One netizens said, “He deserved it. Sad that it took so long but you have to admit ‘My Naughty Son’ was really good”. Another said, “Dong Yeob-God, congratulations on winning daesang” There were also people that were questioning why “Running Man” did not receive that much awards. One netizens commented, “Shin Dong Yeob deserved his daesang but damn did SBS short ‘Running Man’ even if they are taking the show off air” while another commented that, “SBS only gave ‘Running Man’ one award, and why in the world do they have so many co-awards “. An SBS staff has explained that the cast wanted to spend their last ceremony award together quietly. They also posted in Instagram that “RM members expressed their willing to join in the ceremony as calmly as possible without winning prizes so RM program just won 1 prize.” Meanwhile, Allkpop  has posted the full list of winners at SBS Entertainment Awards.
