With the release of Samsung’s latest S6 series, more and more sub-models are introduced.
Without the water resistant feature on the latest S6, the Galaxy S6 Active will be introduced to make the phone resistant to almost everything but still carry the power the S6 that Samsung has promised.

With a release date rumored for April, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is expected to have the new fingerprint sensor installed that could support the Samsung Pay.
In terms of its durability and new features, the S6 Active is IP67 certified, meaning it could be dust and water resistant up to 1 meter and 30 minutes.
It is also MIL-STD-810G certified that is salt, dust, humidity, rain, vibration, solar radiation, transport and thermal shock resistant.
With regards to its hardware specs, the new phone runs on the latest Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system, has an Exynos 7420 chipset, a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and a quad-core 2.1 GHz CPU and a Mali-T760 GPU.
It is enclosed in a 5.1-inch super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1440 x 2560 pixels of resolution that is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
With regard to its camera, the new Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has a 16-megapixel primary camera with 2988 x 5312 pixels, optical image stabilization, autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, Auto HDR and panorama features.
It could take videos of up to 2160p at 30 frames per second and a secondary front camera with 5-megapixels that has dual video call and auto HDR features that support to as much as 1080p at 30 frames per second.
Just like the S6, the Active has support for wireless charging and is equipped with a non-removable Li-Ion 3500 mAh battery that supports a longer battery life for its sturdier and stronger body.
