Former cast members of The Real World: New Orleans as well as The Challenge took to social media on Thanksgiving to mourn the death of their co-star and friend, Ryan Knight, 28, who was found dead at a residence in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
On Thanksgiving Day, after 10 a.m., police in Kenosha, Wisconsin received a call about “a 28-year-old male was unconscious and not breathing” inside a home.
Paramedics and officers who arrived at the scene were unfortunately unable to resuscitate the person, who was identified as Knight, a cast member on MTV’s The Real World: New Orleans in 2010 and The Real World and Road Rules spinoff The Challenge in 2013.
His death is being investigated.
In a statement to E!, MTV said, “We are saddened to hear the news of the passing of Ryan Knight.
Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends at this difficult time.” Jemmye, who met Knight when the two were on Real World New Orleans in 2010, took to Twitter to mourn the loss of her love.
She Tweeted: “Words will never be enough to justify the connection we shared and the pain I will forever feel.
RIP @Knight_MTV.” On Tuesday, Knight had exchanged tweets with Sahar Dika, his co-star on The Real World: New Orleans in 2010.
Dika took to her Instagram on Thursday and posted a pic of Knight and her captioning it, “Four years ago, we created a family in New Orleans that is unbreakable.
Today, we lost you.” “Knight, there were so many times we argued and screamed…
But it always ended in a hug and a kiss and telling each other how much we loved each other,” she said.
“You are my family and I shared an experience with you and 7 others that will never be forgotten, not even parted with death.” Knight died about two weeks after one of his co-stars on The Challenge, Diem Brown passed away at age 32 after battling cancer.Knight was one of her former co-star who expressed condolences over her death on Twitter.
