‘Running Man’ Casts Yang Se Chan & Jeon So Min: Fans Still Prefer The Show To Have 6 Members

“Running Man” has gone through a lot of changes ever since the new production director arrives. Now, SBS announced that the show will add two new permanent members to the show, which already started a round of negative responses from fans in all over comment sections. According to Korea Boo , SBS confirmed that “Running Man” will welcome two new members to the show, Yang Se Chan and Jeon So Min. The two newbies will begin filming on April 7. As we may have known, both Jeon So Min and Yang Se Chan have appeared as guests in the past, and according to the comedians’ representative, “Running Man” had a sharp increase in ratings when the two were guests on the show. Perhaps, that’s the reason why the production team decided to add new faces to the show.
However, this change might not have been a good news to “Running Man” fans. A lot of fans have been pouring their hearts out in several internet forums about their disapproval to the change. Some fans still prefer the show to have six members just like usual, while the others can’t stand the idea of having another female member other than Song Ji Hyo. Having the only female member in the show to beat out five guys is one of the things that make fans are engrossed in “Running Man”. However, fans are still optimistic that the SBS variety show will not lose its fun even there’s a significant change to the original cast. Meanwhile, fans were kind of hoping that the production team will bring back the original members like Gary and Song Joong Ki instead of having new ones. As per April 7, the show will have eight members including the six current members: Lee Kwang Soo, HaHa, Song Ji Hyo, Yoo Jae Sook, Ji Seok Jin and Kim Jong Kook. With the addition of two members, the production team hopes for better change without slashing the usual fun out of the show. The representative hasn’t revealed any exact details yet, but they do expect to change the format of “Running Man” as well as eye to a different time slot.
