Joining in “Guitar Hero” in the list of games making a comeback, “Rock Band 4” is back and improved for the latest generation of consoles after Harmonix revealed a new gameplay trailer including all the songs included in the game.
In a report by Ultimate Guitar pointing out a report by IGN, songs from Megadeth, Avenged Sevenfold, among others were revealed to come out in the upcoming game.
The song list for “Rock Band 4” includes Avenged Sevenfold’s “Hail to the King,” Fleetwood Mac’s “You Make Loving Fun,” Jack White’s “Lazaretto,” The Killers’ “Somebody Told Me,” Megadeth’s “Symphony of Destruction,” Spin Doctors’ “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” and The Who’s “The Seeker.” Meanwhile, Game Spot previously reported that Harmonix CEO Steve Janiak revealed the shortage of supply of the plastic instruments for “Rock Band 4.” As a temporary fix, the company decided to give the instruments via a pre-order package for fans to enjoy.
“While we’ll do everything we can to meet demand, the realities of manufacturing and getting hardware on shelves means that we can’t guarantee hardware for everyone on day one without a pre-order,” Janiak said.
“For those looking for new instruments, pre-ordering ahead of launch will guarantee that you’ll be able to start a band and rock the world with your family and friends this holiday season.” However, the same report stated that Harmonix would still support old controllers previously seen on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
“We are actively engaged with Sony and Microsoft to support PS3 controllers on the PS4 and Xbox 360 controllers on the Xbox One,” the company announced.
“It’s tough because a lot of the implementation is out of our control.
You’re dealing with radio chips and technology that fundamentally changed between one console and the next.
There is some policy we need to work through as well as some nifty engineering we have to work through, which we are.” Watch the gameplay trailer of “Rock Band 4” here.
