“The Rise of Tomb Raider” has been announced as an Xbox timed exclusive, with a tentative release date of the 2015 holiday season.
There has been some confusion about what platforms the game is coming to, so to be clear it will be an Xbox exclusive for awhile before being released on PC and Playstation platforms.
The game’s website describes the game saying, ” In her first adventure, Lara Croft was forged into a true survivor, but she glimpsed a deeper, secret world.
In the next chapter of her journey, Lara must use her survival skills and wits, learn to trust new friends, and ultimately accept her destiny as the Tomb Raider.
Featuring epic, high-octane action moments, Rise of the Tomb Raider will take gamers to multiple locations around the world filled with exploration spaces that are some of the most beautifully hostile places on earth.
In addition, after hearing the cry from fans loud and clear, the game will put the tombs back into Tomb Raider, all in the franchise’s gritty Survival-Action style.” Gamingbolt reports, ” Following the games somewhat confusing and slightly controversial announcement, the game has been scheduled for release at some time in the holiday season of 2015.
The release has a time exclusivity window during which time the game will only be available for Microsoft’s Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Because of this, we can safely assume that the game will indeed be coming to the PC, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, we don’t however know the release window.
The current estimate that’s popular amongst gamers is some time around March of 2016.” Console exclusivity is still out of the question and it could be possible that Square Enix will release the game on other platforms like the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and the PC.
The story for the sequel is based off a comic book written by Dan Abnett and Nik Vincent and it involves Lara Croft looking for a cure to save her friend.
This might be after she recovers from the trauma that she experienced during the first game as the psychology session in the trailer suggests.
The game is being developed by Crystal Dynamics and publisher Square Enix.
This will be the eleventh Tomb Raider game.
The first six games in the series were developed by Core Design; While Crystal Dynamics developed the latest five.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is coming to the Xbox One and Xbox 360 Christmas 2015.
Hopefully the game will appear on the PC and Playstation before to long.
What do you think about the exclusivity deal? let us kno British actress Camilla Luddington has given some insight on the new motion capture technology that Crystal Dynamics will be implementing in its hotly anticipated sequel, Rise of the Tomb Raider.
According to Luddington’s Twitter , the new tech is dubbed Mova, and tracks fluorescent paint sprayed onto an actor’s face, which allows for over 7,000 points of reference.
By comparison, regular mo-cap affords only 90 points of reference.
The result? A “much more realistic capture,” says the Lara Croft actress, which means the upcoming action-adventure title will look even more “awesomely detailed” than its predecessor, 2013’s Tomb Raider.
Again, “Rise of the Tomb Raider” release date is around the hoilday season in 2015.
