Red Velvet to Open 'SM Station' Season 2 With Forerunner New Single 'Would U'

Red Velvet will reportedly initiate the “SM Station” Season 2 of its agency S.M. Entertainment’s weekly digital music release project. The five-member girl group will accordingly unveil its forerunner new single “Would U” in all of Korea’s major music streaming sites. Moreover, the agency will allegedly release a special preview video for of ” SM Station ”  Season 2   in all of the SMTOWN channels.
According to Yonhapnews , S.M. Entertainment who manages big-name K-pop artists such as Girls’ Generation and EXO, initiated the “SM Station” program in Feb. 2016. The objective of the program apparently is to release a song every Friday. The company’s artists, together with those from other agencies, will accommodate creative projects other than those of their scheduled tasks. S.M. Entertainment accordingly has already released a total of 52 songs of various genres in the past year under the program. Also, the company plans to upgrade the range of alliances to include overseas artists in “SM Station” Season 2. It will reportedly also continue its genre series such as “S.M. The Ballard” and “S.M. The Performance.” It is also planning to include within the scope of the “SM Station” program other seasonal projects such as “S.M. Summer Vacation,” and “S.M. Winter Garden.” Red Velvet is a girl group, according to Red Velvet Wiki, formed by S.M. Entertainment. The group debuted in Aug. 2014, with the digital single “Happiness.” Initially, the group is composed of four members namely, Irene, Seulgi, Wendy and Joy. In Mar. 2015, Yeri became the fifth member of the group. The girl group members have also made their individual television appearances. Irene hosted in the “Music Bank,” and Yeri on the “Show! Music Core,” Joy was a host of the fourth season of the variety show “We Got Married.” Since their debut, Red Velvet has achieved prominent successes and recognitions. The group’s first EP “Ice Cream Cake” topped the Gaon Album Chart. In Sept. 2015, the girls’ first full-length album, “The Red,” also peaked the Gaon Album Chart and the Billboard World Albums Chart.
