Rafael Nadal is asking for favors at French Open 2015, possibly to get a leg up in the stiff competition this year.
Seeing how he is already receiving maximum support from his girlfriend Maria Francisca Perello, the former world number 1 seeks to defend his impossible record at the tournament.
According to USA Today, Rafael Nadal asked for Bernardes not to work his matches and his request was accepted.
“Yes, it was my request,” Nadal said.
“I consider him [Bernardes] a great umpire and a good person, but I think when you have some troubles with the same umpire, sometimes it’s easy to stay for a while away, no?” Rafael Nadal is one of the most nervous players going into French Open 2015, which starts this Sunday.
That just means that his girlfriend Maria Francisca Perello need to give him more support than ever this early summer as the former world number 1 seeks to defend his near-impossible record.
According to USA Today, Rafael Nadal tried to explain his situation to the journalists.
“It’s (obvious) that I had more up and downs (this season),” said Nadal.
“It’s not terrible, but if we compare with other years, obviously (it) looks bad, no? That’s always going to happen when you achieve a lot in the past.” Also knowing that the former world number 1 has 66-1 record at French Open, he may feel the nerves trying to defend that.
But he also has been insisting that “life has been fantastic” and immediately got all his fans wondering if that was in reference to his girlfriend Maria francisca Perello.
According to the Guardian, the former world number 1 said, “Today I am not as good as I was.
I don’t know if tomorrow I am going to be as good as I was.
Life has been fantastic for me – and it still is.” Tennis Magazine reports that according to an interview the King of Clay gave to La Nacion, he expressed an interest to have kids and start his own family soon.
He said, “I am quite a family person, my education has been towards family.
You never know what will happen in the future, but I understand that I will form a family, have kids, I do not know how much.
I love children, but one does not decide unilaterally, it takes two.
I would like to have more children, but I cannot say whether two, three or four.” Do you think his girlfriend Maria Francisca Perello can inspire him to dominate at French Open 2015?
