PS Plus Free Games For October To Be Announced Next Week; Sony Offers ‘Open Multiplayer Weekend’ For PlayStation Plus Subscribers; Play For Free Starting Tomorrow!


New set of PS Plus free games will go live on October 8! GamePur.com reported, as confirmed by Fred Dutton, that Sony will make the newest batch of PS Plus free games available on the second Wednesday of October.

Subscribers awaiting the official announcement and further details for the PS Plus free games can have the info they want when October arrives.

Asked about the possible release of PS Plus free games in the comment section of the PlayStation Blog, the PS Europe community manager says, “At present it looks like the next batch of Plus games will go live on October 8th, so look out for the announcement on or around October 1st.” PS Plus members will also be getting a free edition of the upcoming racing video game, DriveClub, on top of the set of free games for the month.

Dutton shared, “Driveclub will be in addition to you regular PS Plus allocation.

There’s loads of content included.

Do try it out – I think you’ll have a great time with it, and at no additional cost to your wallet.” DriveClub for PS4 will be officially released on October 7, according to a report on Trusted Reviews.

Meanwhile, PS Plus free games for September are still available.

PS4 owners can get Velocity 2X and Sportsfriend with no additional cost.

On the other hand, PS3 titles “PS All Stars Battle Royale” and “Hoard” are included in the list of PS Plus free games for the month.

And for the PS Vita owners, TxK and Joe’s Danger are currently available for free.

As for other news for the PS Plus subscribers, Sony is offering “Open Weekend” starting tomorrow, September 26.
