Prince Harry might appear on “Game of Thrones” season 6 should he accept the role that was allegedly being offered to him by HBO.
The Daily Star recently reported that network executives have approached the 30-year-old prince.
“Harry has been offered a cameo in the sixth series of Game Of Thrones, which starts filming in Northern Ireland this summer.
At the moment he’s not made a decision but the offer is on the table.
There are plenty of opportunities for him to take up a role,” said the publication’s source.
The same insider added that many celebrities expressed interest for a cameo but the producers were being selective.
“The show is huge and there are plenty of A-listers queuing up for a cameo.
But the creators won’t offer one to just anyone,” the insider said.
“Harry is a big fan and loves the show.
To have him on would be TV gold.” Prince Harry is not just the only fan of “Game of Thrones.” In June 2014, his grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, visited the set of the hit fantasy series in Belfast.
However, Prince Harry appearing on “Game of Thrones” might not happen because he recently talked about his desire to have a family like his older brother, Prince William.
“Of course I would love to have kids right now but there’s a process that one has to go through and tours like this are great fun, hopefully I’m doing all right by myself, it would be great to have someone else next to me to share the pressure, but you know, time will come and whatever happens, happens,” he told Sky News .
Prince Harry’s yearning to settle down is believed to be an influence of the new royal baby – Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
Prince Harry missed the birth of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s daughter but he already saw photos of his niece.
He described her as “absolutely beautiful.”
