Power Rangers Movie Reboot Casting News: Roberto Orci Drops Power Rangers To Direct Star Trek 3; Chloe Grace Moretz and Meryl Streep Rumored to Be in Power Rangers Reboot Cast

Power Rangers Movie Reboot Casting News: Roberto Orci won’t be producing the Power Rangers reboot, he’ll be beaming over to helm Star Trek 3.

Rumors are circulating that the legendary actress Meryl Streep will play the Power Rangers villain Rita Repulsa and Chloe Grace Moretz may be the new Pink Ranger in the Power Rangers movie reboot.

Power Rangers’ former executive producer Roberto Orci hinted to Collider Magazine that a Power Rangers reboot would be a “continuity” of the cult 90s kids show.

In July, Orci told Collider “It’s got a continuity within the world.

I can’t tell you what, but it does have a continuity.” Orci hinted that original Power Rangers cast members might appear, saying “Of course.

That’s something we want to rely on the Saban group to tell us.

They have a lot of internal knowledge of their franchise and we’re just learning now.

We’ve seen it only as fans, but they actually know it inside and out, so I’d love to know what fans want to see.” The Power Rangers Reboot screenplay is being written by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz, who wrote the comic book movies Thor and X Men: First Class.

According to reports, Chloe Grace Moretz was added to the Power Rangers Movie reboot cast as the Pink Ranger.

Chloe Grace Moretz told MTV News that she is excited to play another “kick-ass” character, saying “Pink Ranger is so cool.

I’m getting excited to play another kick-ass lady like Hit-Girl”.

Reportedly, Meryl Streep is in negotiations to take on the iconic villainous role of Rita Repulsa.

According to MTV News, Power Rangers movie producers are in negotiations with Liam Neeson, Chloe Grace Moretz, Liam Hemsworth and Jack Gleeson.

ComicBookMovie.com reported that Liam Neeson will play Zordon, the mentor to the Power Rangers in the movie.

Red Ranger is the de factor leader of the Power Rangers.

Red Ranger is the most red-blooded Power Ranger.  Fans are not so happy about Liam Hemsworth playing the Red Ranger.

Some Power Rangers fans prefer that “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner play the Red Ranger.

Other fans are pulling for “Divergent” star Theo James as the Red Ranger.

The Power Rangers Movie is expected to come out on July 22, 2016, putting it head-to-head against Guy Ritchie’s film adaptation of “King Arthur.”
