With the release of Pokemon X and Y as well as Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, fans have been delighted with the confirmation of Hoopa and Diancie.
But what about the third unrevealed Pokemon that’s…well, already revealed?
On April 14, the Official Pokemon YouTube channel unveiled a trailer confirming Hoopa Unbound.
Teasing fans on the mystery behind this new form of Hoopa, fans are less than impressed, given how long the community has known of Hoopa Unbound’s existence.
“Here’s a tip Nintendo, if you’re going to make a secret Pokemon in the game, don’t put any data of it in the game,” commented Issac Franks on YouTube.
“This stops people from hacking it and getting it early! Is it that hard?” While Diancie and Hoopa were both discovered through hacking, the still unrevealed Volcanion is still waiting its turn with an official event.
But given that fans have known about it since October of 2013 , will the reveal been less and less impactful the more time go on? “Why did [Game Freak] put Hoopa and Volcanion into the code of X and Y when they weren’t going to reveal it until years later?” asked Ultron on PokeJungle.
In fact, fans have been able to acquire Volcanion in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire for some time, provided they use a Powersave.
An official event for Hoopa will likely arrive with the upcoming movie.
If you’re a fan of hackers in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, you might be familiar with the work of “Project Pokemon,” a hacking team which has uncovered many hidden secrets in the franchise before.
Recently, they uncovered an event which discussed aired television specials regarding Volcanion.
