PlayStation 5 Release Date Closing In As Sony Hiring People To Work On ‘Next Generation Console’

Despite the rumors of a possible PlayStation 4 Slim coming our way, reports about a possible PlayStation 5 sparked after Sony previously hinted possibly a “next generation gaming system.” With no release date set as for now, experts think that the upcoming PS5 may come in the next couple of years.

In a report by Attack Of The Fan Boy , Sony  recently added a job listing in their website about looking for a senior game programmer, who could work on the possible follow up of the PS4.

“We have an exciting opportunity at Sony Computer Entertainment of America (PlayStation),” the job post claimed.

“We seek a senior game programmer to assist us in developing a game used for R&D purposes related to our next generation gaming system.

For someone passionate about gaming this is a very rare opportunity.

After reviewing the below job profile, if this is you, please apply!” As previously pointed out by Tech Radar , Ultra HD 4K video game support is what is expected from the PlayStation 5 release date.

This is in line with the trend of emerging television and video providers of giving out Ultra HD 4K videos.

“Support for high-resolution 4K output for still images and movie content is in consideration, but there are no further details to share at this time,” Sony previously said as reported by Forbes .

Although there are no official words regarding the PlayStation 5 has been announced yet, release date is speculated to come in 2019.
