The PlayStation 4 has been enjoying its success as it is currently ranked as the top gaming console in the market as of now.
In an IGN report , the PS4 was even tagged to be the “fastest growth in PlayStation hardware history,” beating the Xbox One out of contention.
However, rumors of an improved PS4 still rise up as a PlayStation 4 Slim is speculated to be introduced within the year, particularly at the E3 2015 convention.
Minor hardware changes that could produce major improvements is believed to happen on the rumored console.
In a report by Forbes, hardware updates such as support for 4K videos is expected to be seen.
“Support for high-resolution 4K output for still images and movie content is in consideration, but there are no further details to share at this time,” Sony said in the report.
However, media streaming company Netflix agreed to the possible changes in the console and approved of 4K streaming capabilities since it is believed to be the top used specs by consumers nowadays.
The media streaming company is known to deliver the best and the top provider of Ultra HD videos that runs on 4K resolution.
“We remain committed to bringing leading entertainment features and services to the living room,” Netflix said.
“Beyond that, we have nothing to share at this time.” Furthermore, fans now create and speculate their own version of the PlayStation 4 slim.
Fan made concept designs were created and Slash Gear’s design seems to be the most popular among all the prototypes.
With no release date set as of yet, fans speculate that the PlayStation 4 slim would be announced or hinted at the upcoming E3 2015 event.
